What a week. What a show. What a privilege.

For the past 10 months, Nick and Ben have been managing the PR for Cereals, the biggest arable event in the UK calendar and the last two days at Diddly Squat Farm have been absolutely incredible.

From the very beginning, this was always going to be a Cereals like no other. The “Clarkson effect” brought huge interest, but behind the headlines was a serious, professional, business-to-business event focused on supporting British farming at a time when the industry needs it most.

Our work began long before the gates opened. We supported public meetings with the local community to help manage concerns around the event, hosted a press conference with Jeremy Clarkson, Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland in front of the Amazon cameras, and worked closely with the brilliant Cereals team to help tell the story of the show.

Over the last two days, Nick and Ben have supported more than 100 journalists on site, interviewed hundreds of amazing people from across farming and agribusiness, covered miles on foot capturing the key moments, and helped showcase everything from crop plots and machinery launches to young farmers, livestock, technology, policy, agronomy and the future of UK food production.

They also joined the British Guild of Agricultural Journalists for a special gathering at the show on the first evening and were even treated to an unexpected private rehearsal from the Hawkstone Farmers Choir in the press tent before their performance.

Here is what Ben Pindar, Head of PR at Red Stag Media, had to say: “This has been one of the most intense, complex and rewarding projects we’ve worked on. The level of media interest around Cereals coming to Diddly Squat has been huge, but the real story has always been about farming.

“The feedback from visitors, exhibitors and journalists has been fantastic, with so many people saying the event has helped put a real buzz back into British agriculture. That matters.

“We’re incredibly proud to have worked alongside the Cereals team to help deliver and promote such an important event for the industry.”

Antony, our Head of Digital, also headed down to Diddly Squat on Wednesday to catch up with existing clients, create content and see some of the emerging technology shaping the future of farming.

Cereals, you have been a blast.

We’re proud to share that Red Stag Media is supporting this year’s Fruit Focus event with PR.

Fruit Focus is an important event for the fruit industry, bringing together growers, suppliers, innovators and experts to discuss the future of the sector. We’re delighted to be playing a part in helping to raise the profile of the event and the businesses, ideas and conversations it brings together.

Ben Pindar, Head of PR at Red Stag Media, said: “Fruit Focus is a key moment on the calendar for the UK fruit sector, and we’re really pleased to be supporting it with PR this year. It’s a fantastic platform for showcasing innovation, sharing expertise and bringing the industry together. We’re looking forward to helping amplify the event and the stories behind it.”

We’ll also be exhibiting at Fruit Focus on July 8, so we’re looking forward to meeting people at the event and being part of what promises to be a brilliant day for the sector.

Mil and Bec headed to the British Pig and Poultry show 🐷🐓

A great day exploring the new technology within the industry and hearing from some brilliant voices in the pig and poultry sectors. We rounded up the day by listening to a great talk from Alistair Driver, Anna Jones and Fred Allen to get insights into the pig sector and the communication struggles they are currently facing.

Red Stag Media is managing the PR for Cereals at Diddly Squat Farm this year and our Head Of PR Ben Pindar got a brief moment in the spotlight last week, chairing a press conference with Jeremy Clarkson, Charlie Ireland and Kaleb Cooper while the cameras rolled for the hit farming show.

The event was part of the Crop Plot Day for Cereals which offered a glimpse into how the crops are performing ahead of the main event on June 10 & 11 when 25,000 visitors and 700 exhibitors will gather for the prestigious farming event.
