Halsteads Halsteads is a self-catering holiday home with spectacular views situated in a quiet village on the Sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms.

A spacious, well equipped home-from-home in a pretty village location in the South Lakes, close to the coast as well as the fells. It is only 15 minutes away from the festival market town of Ulverston, 20 minutes from Coniston or Barrow. Travel to Halsteads is easy even in peak holiday season; avoid

ing central Lakes congestion after leaving the M6, alternatively the coastal train service is a short walk away (no Sunday service). From the house there are spectacular rear garden views over Duddon Estuary and the hills. Over thirty fell tops are visible including Coniston Old Man, Stickle Pike, Black Coombe and Scafell. Village amenities include two pubs, a railway station, Post Office and well stocked village shop, sports facilities and a children’s play park, churches and health centre. It is an excellent area for walking, cycling and wildlife as well as sightseeing and historical interest. Banks and more extensive shopping and leisure facilities can be found in Ulverston or Barrow-in-Furness. Halsteads lies within the Tesco and Asda home delivery areas. Halsteads is particularly suitable for families or mixed age parties with elderly relatives or friends. It has ample private parking for up to 4 cars. Facilities:-

We do not accept pets, however, guide/hearing dogs will be considered. All gas, electricity, bed linen & towels are included. Solid fuel for the lounge stove available at extra cost.

COVID-19 update.
As with all other holiday let property Halsteads has remained closed since government restrictions came into force. We hope that these will be lifted in early July so we are taking bookings from July onwards. If booked dates cannot be fulfilled then we will offer an alternative date or full refund.

We are also in the process of developing our new cleaning proceedure between lets and will no longer be letting to new guests on the same day as departing guests. Therefore for the coming months we welcome check-in on any day of the week and minimum 5 day stays.

After a lot of local campaigning the government is now proposing a bypass/upgrade of this road.
