😎OUR SHARM EL SHEIKH HOLIDAY😎

🔷 Sea Beach Edge by Rotana 🔷

We are now back from our family holiday to Sharm in Egypt and we had a great time.

We really enjoyed our week away and it’s a great place to go at this time of year with great weather and we had average temperature of around 30 every day and the evenings were just a bit cooler so definitely shorts and t-shirt weather.

There is so much to do in Sharm with lots of excursions from boat trips to quad biking plus plenty of shops and restaurants etc outside of the hotels.

The hotel we stayed at was taken over by Rotana a couple of years ago and you can see a lot of what they have done since to improve the hotel and it’s a work in progress as they are still working on parts of it but that doesn’t detract from enjoying it.

Our rooms were next to each other and had a side view of the sea, they were very spacious with decent sized bathrooms and balconies.

The main buffet restaurants of which you can use both and there is an outdoor grill that serves both restaurants and this offers a different grill dish each day.

At the moment there are 3 A La Carte restaurants (Italian, Beach Grill and Mexican) and you are entitled to one free visit per 7 night stay.

There is a daily entertainment programme and this changed daily on a 7 day cycle. There is also a kids club which seemed to have lots going on and a nightly mini disco too.
They also have a tie in with the local Hard Rock which do an evening entertainment takeover once per week and this is normally White Night. They also do an All Inclusive event at Hard Rock twice per week and costs around £25pp.

The hotel is on a great stretch of beach in Nabq Bay with water sports available locally at a charge. Right outside the hotel is a selection of shops and supermarkets plus you are approx 15 mins to Soho Square and just a bit further to Naama Bay.

Now for my honesty which I know my customers appreciate, some online companies are advertising this as 5* but I would say it’s a very decent 4* with lots of potential to be even better which I’m sure it will be.

As many of you will know I am a great believer that even on an All Inclusive holiday that it’s so important to get out from your hotel and support the local economy.

On our trip to Sharm we have done just that.

A night out at Soho Square which I was quite impressed with, there are lots of shops, restaurants, cafes, food trucks and stalls, a fountain show and even a British style pub which serves food and is great for watching football with so many screens.

We also did an excursion to do Quad Biking and camel riding, this was great value for money at only £20pp plus buying some photos and tips.

We also made use of the local shops and a local outdoor cafe to watch a football game.

Please when you are on holiday go out and spend in the local area to help support their economy.

😎 ON HOLIDAY & OUT OF OFFICE 😎

After losing our family dog of nearly 12 years this week we are now on a well needed family holiday.

We are visiting Sharm el Sheikh for the very first time. We are staying at Edge by Rotana at Sea Beach Aqua Park Resort

We flew out with EasyJet on their direct flight from Glasgow and from November you will now also be able to fly direct from Edinburgh.
