well, thanks to a frozen main, the water if off to all the chalets along this row. Had to put off a visitor but offered her a similar week in the near future (low season prices- not set by us but the holiday company) . Lady in question wants July! When we offered a significant discount or another low season week of her choice for the same price as she has paid she kicked off threatening to give bad reviews! Am I being unreasonable?

Great feed back from our New Year guests. They loved it and will come again. Even in the colder months the views and sunsets and wildlife are awesome!

The Spring tides had us clearing washed up debris from the moor heading this week. The lodge is dry as a bone but one needs wellies at this time of year!

Last evening I took a friend down and we sat watching the birds and boats as the sun set over the river Yare. We had a cheeky little salad and an even cheekier Prosecco and let the heat of the day ebb away. It was glorious. It felt like another world. Some naughty holiday maker had broken one of the deck chairs (beyond broken!) and not mentioned it- charming. Off to buy some new deckies later today for our next visitors.

The Broads are looking particularly beautiful at the moment. Lots of Grebe, Cormorants and Herons lurking about at the top of tree's.
