This was on Mull today - don't go off the tarmac anywhere!

This did not happen on Mull, but it demonstrates what can occur when passing places are not used, and it could all have been avoided by a little bit of reversing and a few seconds delay. The verges are not always as solid/firm as they look!

Oban - Craignure (most dates) Summer Timetable available in Phase 1 💚

Our summer timetable for 28 March 2025 to 19 October 2025 will be released in phases.

The first phase of CalMac’s Summer 2025 timetable is now available to view. Bookings for phase 1 routes will open online on Thursday 19 December at 08:00.

Information about routes in phase 2, as well as turn up and go routes, will be issued as soon as possible in the new year.

Those of you who have visited us will know The Creel in Fionnphort, a fabulous little award winning seafood outlet at the head of the pier. This morning it burned down completely, cause unknown, but the insurance is not paying out. Siobhan would love to get up and running again for next season and any help would be very much appreciated 💙

Don't be the little red car. Allow overtaking on single track roads - if you have one vehicle or more following you, stop on the left at the next passing place and let all traffic behind you past 💚

A useful wee video, best if viewed before travelling to Mull 💚 For clarity, the road is the tarmac-ed bit - untarmac-ed bare areas at the side of the road have been caused by people off-roading to pass each other and not reversing to the passing place behind them, risking getting their tyres punctured or breaking their car suspensions. Our verges and road edges are being worn away - please stay on the tarmac 💚
