⭐ Summer Swim Tips ⭐

Just because classes are paused doesn’t mean the learning has to stop!

Here are five simple ways to keep water confidence growing and stay safe this summer...

Always supervise near water
Whether it’s a paddling pool, beach, leisure pool, or water park, stay within arm’s reach at all times. Drowning is silent and can happen in seconds.

Bright swimwear is best
Choose colourful swimwear for better visibility in and around water - especially at the beach or outdoor pools.

Talk about water safety
Keep it simple: “We always stay together,” “We wait for an adult,” “We never run near water.” Even toddlers can pick up on these important habits!

Make a splash together
If you’re heading to a pool on holiday, hop in with your little one. Show them that swimming is fun and something you enjoy doing together.

Keep the fun going in the bath or paddling pool
Blow bubbles, practise pouring water over shoulders, or sing your favourite Turtle Tots songs during bath time. It all counts!

"We absolutely love turtle tots. Our daughter Millie has been going since she was 8 weeks old.

We love the classes as they are baby led, and Mel the swimming teacher is amazing. Millie always wants to go to Mel to practice her under water swimming.

Millie is an absolute water baby, she is always so enthusiastic for her classes. Her confidence just keeps growing and growing which is lovely to see.

Happy Playday, the national day for to celebrate play!

Play is essential for children. It is absolutely vital for social, emotional, intellectual and physical development. It allows them to make friends, develop relationships, and have fun together! 🙂

So that's why we play in our classes! Lots of singing, games, with each of our activities developed to help your child become safe, happy, confident swimmers! 💚
