I had a lovely time at this networking event run by Saffron, bringing together like-minded people who are all running their own businesses ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

It felt very fitting that this meeting fell on the first day of UK Small Business Weekโ€ฆ a great reminder of how important it is to connect, support each other, recommend each other and make working from home a little less lonely.

Last weekend was my sisterโ€™s hen do and I genuinely had the best time!

We headed to Chester and had such a lovely weekend together.
We took on Challenge Point, which is made up of game show style rooms where you work as a team to score as many points as possible (safe to say everyone got very competitive ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜‚)

We also had a wander around Chester, enjoyed dinner at Zizzis and spent the evening back at the apartment playing games and laughing together.

The next day we took a walk around Chester Zoo and spotted all our favourite animals ๐Ÿฆ’๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’

Alex the axolotl also joined us for another little adventure because couldnโ€™t miss out ๐Ÿฉต

Sometimes itโ€™s nice to step away from work for a little while and spend quality time making memories with family and friends ๐Ÿ’•

This year I set myself the goal of attending at least one networking meeting every month.

I chose that goal because I wanted to spend more time working on my business, not just in it. When youโ€™re self-employed, itโ€™s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day side of things and forget to focus on growth.

The biggest thing I can do for my business is simply talk about what I do, meet new people, and keep spreading the word ๐Ÿซฑ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿซฒ๐Ÿผ

Word of mouth is so powerful for small businesses. Referrals, reviews, shares, and even passing my details on to someone who might need them genuinely make such a difference.

So if youโ€™ve ever supported my business in any way, thank you ๐Ÿ’œ It always means more than you probably realise.

We spent our days exploring Godshill and its beautiful Model Village, having lunch in the gorgeous pink cottage in Shanklin Old Town, visiting the Donkey Sanctuary ๐Ÿด and seeing all our favourite animals at Amazon World ๐Ÿฆœ

It really reminded me just how beautiful the Isle of Wight isโ€ฆ such a peaceful little gem right here in the UK ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡งโœจ
