At the end of our adventure, we spent a short but memorable time in Kuala Lumpur, exploring what this vibrant city had to offer.

Kuala Lumpur is home to an incredible selection of beautiful restaurants and the amazing Petronas Towers and we were lucky enough to spend the day with who we booked a private tour with, she was fantastic and helped us learn so much more about the country and its culture.

One of the highlights of our visit was exploring the amazing Batu Caves, a series of limestone caves and temples located just outside the city. The site is famous for its huge golden statue of Lord Murugan and the colourful 272 steps leading up to the main cave and yes Liam did walk all those steps!

We then had the opportunity to make our own Batik paintings, which was definitely our favourite part of the day. It was such a fun and creative experience, and a wonderful way to learn more about one of Malaysia’s most traditional art forms.

We ended the day by visiting a beautiful Chinese temple, taking in the peaceful surroundings and reflecting on what had been an amazing adventure through Malaysia.

I will be doing a full breakdown of my trip over the next week when I’ve sorted my millions of pictures out.

One thing we’ve sadly noticed during our time in Langkawi is the number of stray dogs and how little support they seem to receive.

We did some research and came across Jeff at WOOFF Sanctuary, a non-profit organisation where he dedicates his life to rescuing and caring for dogs in need.

Today, we decided to go and visit him, and honestly, we were blown away by this incredible man.

Jeff lives simply in the jungle, surrounded by all the dogs he has rescued. You could immediately see how much they love and trust him. Every single one has a story, and Jeff has given them a safe place where they can live without fear.

He has a strict no-kill policy and, incredibly, receives no support from the government. Despite that, he continues to do everything he possibly can for these animals.

It was truly humbling to meet him and see the work he does firsthand. One man, giving so much of his time, energy and heart to dogs that so many others have forgotten.

People like Jeff are a reminder that sometimes one person really can make a difference. 🐾

Yesterday we spent the day exploring the island’s incredible mangroves by boat, weaving through winding waterways surrounded by untouched nature and some of the most amazing wildlife. The monkeys were definitely the cheekiest locals, jumping onto our boat to say hello, and one even decided to use it as a bridge to get across the river! 😂🐒

From there, we explored the mysterious bat caves before cruising deeper into the UNESCO-listed mangrove forest, where towering limestone cliffs, ancient trees and peaceful waterways made it feel like another world.

Then we decided to enjoy some freshly grilled chicken satay on the beach before finding a spot on a secluded beach, followed by an afternoon learning to paddle board on crystal-clear water with no other person in sight. 🏝️☀️

Days like this are exactly why we travel, not just to see new places, but to experience moments we’ll never forget.

A very exciting day for me as one of my lovely families arrives in Tanzania for their adventure! 🇹🇿

They will probably be a little tired today after a long flight so today they’re staying at Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge, Nestled among Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations this is a lovely option to relax and recharge ready for their adventure tomorrow.

Tomorrow they’re off to the incredible Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti fsserengeti for their first safari. Set in the heart of the Serengeti National Park. With views over a wildlife watering hole and some of the best game viewing in Africa, it’s an amazing base for a first safari.

Their daughter is a huge animal lover, so I can’t wait to hear what she spots in the Serengeti.

After that, they’re off to Zanzibar to meet family, where we have managed to arrange a complimentary upgrade to a 1 bedroom garden villa at Meliá Zanzibar meliazanzibar the perfect place to relax after their safari and they even get their own pool!

The Melia hotel is a luxury, 5-star all-inclusive resort spanning 40 acres of tropical gardens on the north-east coast of Zanzibar in Kiwengwa. Ringed by a natural coral reef, it features a 300-meter pearlescent white sand beach and caters heavily to couples, honeymooners, and families looking for a tranquil getaway.
