⚠️ Important Travel Update - Middle East Travel Advice 🌍✈️
Following the recent escalation and attacks across parts of the Middle East, travel disruption and safety concerns are currently affecting several destinations across the region.
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has updated guidance and is advising travellers to regularly check official travel advice before travelling and while overseas.
❗ Current updates include:
• Airspace closures and flight cancellations across multiple countries
• Advice against all or all but essential travel to some destinations
• British nationals in certain areas being advised to shelter in place and follow local authority guidance
• Travellers encouraged to register their presence with the UK Government for direct updates
✅ If you are travelling or due to travel:
• Check FCDO advice daily - situations can change quickly
• Contact your airline or travel provider regarding disruptions
• Ensure travel insurance remains valid (travelling against advice may invalidate cover)
• Avoid large gatherings and follow local safety instructions
• Keep travel documents accessible and inform family of your plans
