Hi everyone,
I wanted to share something I’m currently exploring.
I’ve been on the beautiful Oceania Vista, and after spending the last few days experiencing the ship first-hand, it has really reinforced why is such a strong brand. I was also recently announced as a Brand Ambassador for Oceania Cruises, so it feels like a good time to look at some potential group cruise options.
I work closely with the Oceania trade team, and there is one voyage in particular that I have in mind: a Japan cruise in April 2028. I already have a booking on it myself, and I wanted to gauge whether there might be interest in putting together a hosted group for the sailing.
The itinerary is very port-intensive, with a port call every day over the 10 days. To be clear, this would not be a full ship takeover or an exclusive sailing.
Exclusive sailings around Japan can be considerably more expensive, so the idea would be to bring together a group of like-minded travellers on an existing Oceania itinerary, ideally with a strong group arrangement and good value.
The wider sailing would be a mixed group and therefore would allow everyone to attend. We would travel together as a group, and I would be there throughout as the escort/host.
That means there would be a familiar face on board, support before, during and at the end of the cruise. Even though there would be a group element, it would still allow everyone the independence to enjoy the holiday in their own way.
At this stage, this is absolutely not a commitment.
Although Japan is the first destination I’m exploring, if there's a strong interest in the overall idea, I’d also be happy to consider other group cruise options in other parts of the world, such as the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, South America, and beyond.
This would be open to anyone globally, not just UK travellers.
I’d really appreciate it if you could take a minute to share your thoughts in the comments.
Would a hosted Oceania group cruise to Japan in 2028 be of interest?
Would you prefer Japan, or would another destination appeal more?
Thanks in advance,
Steve
