Tom Soper Photography Commercial Photographer shooting Marketing Images for Schools, Business Portraits & Families. Give me a call, drop me a text, email me.

I began my professional photography career when my wife and I moved to Singapore in 2010. During my time in Singapore I worked with a range of clients and companies, from small NGOs to global corporations. I have taken photos in studios, boardrooms, underwater and even in the minefields of Laos. At every stage my photography has evolved: every shoot, client and location teaches me something new ab

out this incredible and ever-evolving medium. Some of my clients know exactly the type of image they want from the outset. Whereas for others, part of the reason for hiring a professional is to draw on my knowledge and experience to help shape their project. Either way, I am committed to delivering beautiful photographs of exceptional quality for every client. I also believe that photo shoots should be enjoyable rather than stressful! I pride myself on clear and efficient communication, and my background in project management has proved invaluable in coordinating with clients during complex shoots. In addition to my commercial work, I maintain one or two personal projects. Towards the end of my time in Singapore, I undertook a project shooting 50 portraits of 50 people from 50 different countries to celebrate Singapore’s 50th independence anniversary. This project was published as a hardback coffee table book in November 2015. If you require any further information or to check my availability for a shoot please do not hesitate to contact me. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. [email protected] / +44 (0)7544 944 121

This week I spent two days shooting portraits of dogs for the 2027 Dogs in the Cathedral Calendar. This is the third time we’ve done this shoot and it’s always a very fun couple of days. I loved meeting all the lovely/lively dogs and trying to create fun and interesting portraits of them. The calendar will be released in October and you can buy your copy at the shop.

The Jazz Evening is always a highlight of the year. The performers show great musical skill, the ability to improvise and the confidence to perform live. The hall is converted into a Jazz Club vibe for the evening which gives me the chance to shoot some nice moody photos.

It’s the start of the summer term so Cricket season is in full swing. I’ll be shooting plenty of cricket at schools in the next few weeks. I use a 600mm zoom lens to get really close to the action showing the focus, the teamwork and the celebrations. Please do contact me if your school needs authentic, high‑impact images for marketing, prospectuses or social media.

Portraits can be shot in a variety of styles and the examples below showcase just how diverse and expressive these portraits can be. I hope this highlights the importance of having a good headshot - it’s often the first impression people get of you, and a strong portrait can speak volumes before you even say a word. Let me know what you think!
