A Personal Note from The Windmill Suffolk

You may have noticed we've been a little quieter than usual on here.

It’s with great sadness we share that Mrs Windmill’s beloved mum—known to many of you as ‘Granny Windmill’—recently passed away.

We wouldn't usually post about something this personal, but Mum was much more than our close family—she was a huge part of The Windmill’s story.

A founding partner in the business, she lived nearby and often met our guests, striking up conversations with her warm, friendly nature.

So many of you met her over the years, chatted with her, and shared laughs as you explored the area.

In her memory, we’re donating £10 to St Nicholas Hospice for every new booking made in July and August.

As a celebration of her life and her love for The Windmill, we’re also offering 20% off all remaining dates in those months.

'Granny Windmill’s' spirit will always be part of The Windmill Suffolk. 🕊️
