And more from Pontic Alps. Just to prove it wasnt all about the flowers. In fact it was amazing for mammals with so many Brown Bears seen, also Wolf. The Marbled Polecat I took the day after the group left. Wallcreepers several. And a bonus Broad-billed Sandpiper. Most of these images from Heinz Klöser.

A day in the Kaçkar with our group last week. Always a pleasure

Today in the Pontic Alps. Floral beauty everywhere. All within a few kilometres of Sarıkamiş. And tonight we saw four Brown Bears and a Stone Marten too.

Some of the amazing fauna we saw in Kaş on last month's tour. From under Kekova's waters to the skies above Elmali. Birds pics from Richard Somers C***s and underwater pics from John Lucas.

Kaş has a rich variety of orchids. This pics from this years tour give an idea of their beauty. Two of the images are of the endemic Ophrys lycia, the entire world population being within five kilometres of our house in Ahatlı! That's currently estimated to be around 900 plants though given two of our neighbours each had 100 plants this year I think it must be higher.
