Bunting, what a topic! Let's talk about bunting, the most exciting thing since sliced bread.
So apparently, bunting comes from the Middle English word "bonten," which means to sift or filter. Great, now I can't stop picturing bunting as a big' filter collecting all the dust and dirt in the air. Yum, nothing like a festive decoration that also serves as an air purifier.
But seriously, who decided that a bunch of triangular or rectangular pieces of fabric strung together was the height of party decor? I mean, sure, it looks cute, but can you imagine all the time and effort it takes to cut those little triangles and rectangles? And then you have to string them together in some sort of coherent pattern?
But hey, I'm not here to rain on anyone's bunting parade, here at the Six Litton Mill - we have some red white and blue plastic of today flapping about thanks to one of our Royalist neighbours!
