What more can be said about Dale House....... ๐ณ๐๐
Read more here on Charlotte's fantastic stay with her family:
The kitchen is kitted out with everything you'd need to cook for 30 hungry people and we were easily able to get a Tesco delivery on the arrival day. (The Co-op at Tideswell is a 3 minute drive away for that bag of frozen peas that someone forgot to add to the order.)
Two lounges, a communal dining room and the games room in the barn meant that we had the freedom to spread out and not get under each other's feet. We visited in January so the log fires were a lovely touch, although the central heating kept the whole house warm and inviting. It was nice to have the long tables in the dining room to allow everyone to eat together, and we moved them aside after dinner to open up the room.
There are even two (and a half) lawns for outdoor games, although after doing the local Monsal Trail Parkrun and climbing up to Thor's Cave, none of us had the energy for cricket!
Peak Venues were easy to communicate with throughout the booking process and I was able to arrange a late checkout on the Sunday which meant we had the time to walk 4 minutes up the road to the Red Lion at Litton (great Sunday roast but remember to book ahead as it is popular).
Compared to other luxury getaways that I looked at online, Dale House provided the all of the comfort and amenities I wanted without the costly, unnecessary extras like a swimming pool and sauna. It's a very well-run enterprise and I would recommend it to anyone. In summary, as my Grandpa would say... Nice house, good location.
Thanks PV, we had a wonderful stay! What a beautiful, well-managed venue!
10/10, fabulous place!
