LLANBERIS LAKE

Llanberis Lake, also known by its Welsh name Llyn Padarn, is a beautiful glacial lake near the village of Llanberis only a 10 minute drive from the chalet.

It is surrounded by towering mountains, including Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), which makes the views around the lake absolutely stunning.

The lake is about 2 miles long and is perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking, and even wild swimming on a warm day. There are white markers which you can follow if you fancy a walk around the Lake. It is approximately a five mile circular walk which will take about two and a half hours.

You’ll also spot the famous “Lonely Tree” growing out of the water — it’s one of the most photographed trees in Wales.
