STRICT TERMS CHANGES FOR 2025!

Running all these events means I spend 3 days in the office (laptop on my crafting desk) and 3 days on the mountain delivering the fun stuff! Call me crazy but I love every aspect of this business including the keyboard whacking! Crazy I know...

I am super excited to be a month into the 2025 season but as always life happens and there are many reasons for wanting to cancel or change bookings. Such requests have already become unmanageable and sometimes means I lose places on these events I lovingly create.

My terms window is 60 days... why so long? Well this gives me a chance to rebook a place, as most customers like to plan waaaaay in advance, especially to have enough prep and training time for their day!

The 60 day no refund policy now applies to swapping a date. If you are 60 days before the date, by all means request a refund if you have changed your mind, or swap to another date if your injury means you need more rest time. (please just one date swop!)

Again... once booked, please could you take out personal injury insurance to cover your costs for the big events and then we both don't lose out! I am sorry if this sounds a bit harsh but I can't run my small business this way anymore.

Thank you so much for understanding and supporting my small business in 2025 and with your help maybe.... just maybe I can get those office days down to two so I can at least get to go food shopping 🤪🫶

Had this beautiful circular to ourselves yesterday!!

As you know there is a wide market of us folks that operate in Eryri and if you ever chose me as a guide and wish to see my experience, qualifications or even a copy of my insurance then I’d be more than happy to oblige!

I am a full member of the Mountain Training Association and have 4 verified qualifications all assessed by the UKs mountain training body.

I have 15 years of experience in my field, I am an active personal climber and scrambler too and even have advanced first aid training that covers my specific activities.

The Mountain Training providers even let me work on their courses which means I get to deliver to the new trainees coming through and I’ve also dabbled in volunteering as a regional co-ordinator! Which means hosting events for members like me to keep up with continued professional development… that reminds me I need to schedule more!

There are now 3 spaces available and plenty of training time to achieve 50km over a 3 day challenge.

My events are paced in a friendly fashion and we support each other as a group to achieve all the summits.

The weather said NO but we went with a positive mindset and the determination to just get some skills done at least!

Jen and John already regular climbers wanted to skill-up on ‘what to do when you reach the top’ and add the finishing touches to their lead climbing journey.

Lots done between the showers!

Customer spotlight! 🔦🔦🔦

This smiling blonde lady is Jennifer and we met last year on my Marchlyn loop circular which saw her first ever proper mountain! And to top it all we tipped off 3 summits on the loop!

A few months later Jen came back for more and did her first ever grade 1 scramble…. Not the easiest by far and not always the first choice for an absolute beginner!

This really has become my signature mountain pose! 10 years ago I couldn’t raise my leg past my hip without discomfort.

Consistency is key. Keep turning up, keep practicing and don’t give up.

There’s exactly 3 years between these two pictures. Just to show to make progress with anything you have to keep trying!

What new pose should I adopt? I’d love to do headstands on summits but my Mum would get mad 😂🤸
