They may present as creaky hikers… but all these 3 veteran teens cared about was looking good for the photos and COULD I get them off their phones!?? 📞

They asked for ‘altitude pace’ and a nice way up Tryfan so I showed them my clean line up the North Ridge.

Less old man noises than expected and rounded the day off with a lovely beer at HQ.

The power of Facebook! Sometimes it’s a positive tool.

What a week...as we approach £16k, this is a staggering amount of money raised and as corny as it sounds, will make a huge difference.

The power of networking is unbelievable, an old friend has worked her contacts this week and Virgin Atlantic have offered us some cargo space to Delhi and then we hope to arrange a short overland trip to Kathmandu, this is just amazing news!

We will take the £16k and hopefully more into Nepal in 5 weeks time, to directly help as intended.

The cargo space will be used for whatever additional stuff we can raise in the UK - first though we need to identity what is needed.

We will be supporting the mountain guides, porters and their families for the long term over winter.

I know you can all help here, but bear with us whilst we work through the many links in this whole process, we'll let you know what we need as and when.

Firstly...
We need a freight forwarder and clearing agent at Heathrow and Delhi - if you can directly help or have a relationship with a company in either location please contact me directly on WhatsApp.
We have a couple of options already, but a few more would be best...

Have we been sucked into a never ending cycle of needing the best stuff for our activities?

A recent post on IG had me questioning thoughts that had occupied my mind recently.

Hearing statements like ‘things aren’t built to last’ like they used to. And having to exchange my own RAB branded trousers after 1 wear as the seams were as robust as butterfly wings.

Aside from the new essentials like shoes and shells. Most of my outdoor wear is a collection of Vinted and charity shop finds.

What’s your best ‘make do’ purchase? Or have you still a jacket from the 80s? Do you think the big brands don’t make quality gear anymore?

Back flips at your first gymnastics class? Fluent in Spanish after one lesson? Of course not you answer.

Climbing is a progressive sport. Just because you can’t climb 6a after one session doesn’t mean you’ll NEVER be able to do it! It starts off hard and gets harder… that’s why we LOVE it.
