Some events really hit the spot! The yellowbrickmortgages team first came to us 12 months ago with the idea of traversing the whole country from St David’s Head, Pembrokeshire to Ness Point, Lowestoft by foot and bike. All totalling roughly 680km in 7 days.
A bold request, but one of my favourite things is making someone’s nuts idea come to life!
As always, we said to the team the night before stepping off… “work hard for yourselves, for each other, and for us… and we’ll have a truly spectacular week”. 7 days later after doing exactly that, the team hugged, laughed, popped bottles of Prosecco and beer, and looked back on a week they’ll remember forever. All whilst raising over £40,000 for Mind.
The stoke is high, the challenge of early, sore morning starts is soon forgotten and long days on the go quickly fade away. In its way came huge smiles, massive pride in what they’ve achieved and a big ole thirst for another big challenge!…
