Tonight the May moon will be full overhead. The Celts called it The Hare Moon and I saw a beautiful brown hare on the lane this morning.

Mays moon is also known as The Flower Moon, The Milk Moon, The Mother's Moon, The Budding Moon and The Planting Moon.

My illustration includes the frothy white Cow Parsley flowers that have bloomed in our hedges in the past week.
