A few weeks ago, we received news that has changed our familyโs world and the path ahead for us.
When I recently posted that family comes first, I truly meant it. After a lot of thought, I've made the difficult decision to step back from many of the things that fill our everyday lives and put all of my focus where it belongs, with my family and the health challenges we are now facing together.
This will mean more hospital visits, more overnight stays, and potentially more surgeries in the months & years ahead. It will mean saying no to things I would normally say yes to, missing events, being quieter than usual, and sometimes simply not having the energy to be the person people are used to seeing.
Please know that none of this is personal. Right now, our priority has to be our little family, our daughter and getting through what lies ahead.
We are heartbroken, worried, and facing a lot of uncertainty, but we will face it together. We won't let this define us or defeat us, but we do need the time, space, and strength to focus on what matters most and that's ours & our kids health.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support us, who's been there while we've been going through a secret hell, understanding our absence, and keeping us in your thoughts during what is undoubtedly one of the most difficult periods of our lives to come.
