September and October show a different side of Mallorca. The crowds thin, the sea holds its summer warmth, and the island settles into a gentler pace.

At Cadell Gran, a traditional country house set in its own grounds near Pollença (once an olive farm), it's a good time to slow down. High beamed ceilings and exposed stonework indoors, a private pool and tennis court outside, and Pollença's Sunday market just a 10 minute drive for the last of the summer fruit and the first of autumn's produce.

Two weeks left this September, from the 12th and the 26th, both at a reduced rate.
