The Northern Emerald Toucanet, Aulacorhynchus prasinus, one of the beautiful bird species we see on our trips out to Costa Rica.

We spotted this one in San Gerardo de Dota, after an afternoon spent observing a pair of resplendent quetzals.

The bird diversity in Costa Rica is off the charts, on our last trip we saw over 220 species in 12 days.

Have you ever seen hundreds of predatory birds in the sky at once? 🦅

A huge thank you to and their team of ornithologists for letting us tag along and observe this amazing spectacle.

We can’t wait to come back later in the year for the fall migration and again next year for the spring!

Today is a day to celebrate this beautiful blue & green planet we call home 🌍

Home to all the worlds amazing biodiversity, covered in fascinating landscapes and filled with beauty.

On earth day we are showered with countless posts about the earth, its creatures but also all the things we have done to it.

With all the doom and gloom you see in the media, it’s important to stay hopeful. The fight to protect our Earth is an important one. It’s easy to lose hope, but vital to keep it in your hearts.

Happy Earth day 🌱 make sure to celebrate, after all you are all from here.

A few photographs from our most recent trip out to Costa Rica 🇨🇷

What a trip! From Caribbean lowland to Cloud forests, we went everywhere. We saw over 280 species (Birds, reptiles, amphibians & mammals), an insane number for just 12 days.

We also visited some of our partner NGOs out there. We love being able to show the amazing conservation work that is being done to our groups. A huge thank you to &

We got super lucky with the wildlife, but we wouldn’t have seen half the birds if it weren’t for .pi

These tours are what you make of them, and with a group like this one it was a pleasure to spend time with them in the tropics. So thank you so much to Jane, Sarah, Sandy & David ❤️🫶🏼.

Sometimes all you need is the sounds of nature.
Don’t forget to just take a second and enjoy it.

The birds of Costa Rica 🇨🇷 truly are stunning animals. From the colorful bills of the aracaris to the bright plumage of the tanagers. An abundance of avians, just how we like it.
