One of the things guests tell us most often is how much they appreciate not being part of a large coach tour.

Being able to stop for that extra photo, spend a little longer somewhere special, or simply enjoy the day at a relaxed pace can make all the difference.

Thank you for the lovely review, we're so pleased you enjoyed your day exploring Kent with us. 😊

Kent has long been known as Britain's frontline.

From defending our shores during wartime to serving as a vital gateway between Britain and Europe, the county is steeped in stories of courage, resilience and sacrifice.

Our Defence of the Realm Military History Tour takes you on a journey through some of Kent's most significant wartime locations, including Folkestone's fascinating military history, the Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel-le-Ferne, and Dover's moving seafront memorials.

Along the way, you'll discover the people, places and events that helped shape the nation's history, all set against the backdrop of Kent's spectacular coastline.

History comes alive at Ramsgate Harbour, here are some photos we took during a recent tour...

Along the quayside stand 338 life-sized silhouettes, created by Standing with Giants, commemorating the soldiers rescued during Operation Dynamo in 1940. Each silhouette represents 1,000 of the more than 338,000 troops evacuated from the beaches of Dunkirk in one of the most remarkable rescue operations of the Second World War.

Adding another layer of history to the scene is the striking Spanish tall ship *NAO Victoria*, a replica of the first ship to successfully circumnavigate the globe over 500 years ago.

From the age of exploration to the events of World War II, Ramsgate's beautiful Royal Harbour has played witness to centuries of extraordinary stories. It's little wonder that a walk along the waterfront is one of the town's most memorable experiences.

Have you visited Ramsgate Harbour recently?
