Gremlin Alley Social Centre

Gremlin Alley Social Centre The beautiful building and what we want to do We, the Gremlins, who live with the squatters have to decide to use this building as a free community space.

The building itself is at the heart of our project, although the people who visit us make Gremlin Alley what it is. Gremlins don't believe that this building should be sold out to a big business or become flats (we have plenty of both), we are creating a freely organised community social space. We would like it to be strongly focused on community support, inspiration and sharing of all kinds (reso

urces, skills and experience). After a tiresome month for the residents, we have had our first event, an acoustic gig/poetry night/ open mic evening. This gig provided enormous amounts of hope, inspiration and positivity. Hearing friends reactions and even great enthusiasm from many (ex) strangers, we have been filled with new energy. So far, we have a list of ideas for the space, and would love to hear yours to make them happen (all for free!):

-A freely organised social space
-Cafe
-Music Venue/ lessons and workshops
-Arts & Crafts workshops/ exhibits
-Street art workshops (stencils, wheat pasting, freehand etc)
-Community roof garden (to provide free vegetables and flowers)
-Performance art workshops/ events (plays, circus, dance, larping)
-Skate Park
-Climbing wall & obstacle course
-Parkour and Freerunning lessons
-Support groups (for people with problems with drugs, alchohol, sexuality, bullying, discrimination, depression, anxiety, shopping)

We understand there’s a lot of work cut out for the future, but there’s certainly no time like the present to get started on things! So please, drop us a message or even a visit with any ideas, advice and thoughts on what you would like to see happen in Gremlin Alley! Anything is possible! Information on events will be posted here, aswell as on our website. Keep an eye out for new things! peace :)

He is on trial with another co-defendant in January 2016. Pete has spent the last several months with an electronic tag, his freedom severely restricted, and a change of bail address led to the court remanding him to prison.

Stamps, envelopes, writing paper & books are also welcome. As well as any donations. Banner pictures, dedicated actions & other forms of solidarity are also invited from comrades across the world.

Who is the queen and why does she have birth right to so much land? Austerity is killing people and mother earth is not owned by a piece of paper. Lets not f**k up nature please, lets all stay on earth and have a nice place for our children (if we have any) to live. Nuclear weapons came to soon for our not yet peaceful planet. We need to learn peace before more .. & more... & more arms... Peace to all. xo

(ps if she listens it might say less than if she doesn't, are we in a democracy? Sign it then :) )

We the people of Britain ask that her Majesty the Queen of Great Britain use her powers to dissolve parliament early under a vote of no confidence....

Thanks to everyone who turned up at our chilled gig and the market at the alley today, donated and took part and major apologies to those who turned up but were unable to get inside. Sorry on behalf on the sleepy gremlins. On a positive note, we have enough things to potentially set up a community free shop and are much more prepared for our next market. It will be much much better, we may have to add another really to the description.
