Proud as always to receive the TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award ๐Ÿ† I think this is now at least the fifth year in a row to have received it ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

Amazing to think that these tours of Cardiff, which were created out of thin air 8 years ago, are consistently in the top 10% of tours/attractions/things across the world ๐Ÿฆš long may that continue...๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Ianto's Shrine is now gone ๐Ÿ˜ข It's removal has been big news locally over the last couple of months and it's gradually been removed now over the last few days. The wall is now completely bare, but there is a new plaque on the wall just to the right of this video.

Thankfully I got this video a couple of weeks ago while the shrine was still pretty full and covered in Easter decorations.

It's a shame it's gone after 17 years. In recent years it has been a bit part of Cardiff Bay and Doctor Who tours, and always a big highlight for Doctor Who and Torchwood fans visiting from around the world. At least there is the new plaque but it's not quite the same is it?...

Why am I wearing a jacket? โ˜€๏ธ

The weather in south Wales has been amazing (mostly) for the last week or so. Nice to have some sun finally after what felt like months of rain โ˜”

Thanks to everyone who has been joining tours over the last few days, there's been a sudden increase in people for some reason.... ๐ŸŒž

The Cardiff city tour continues regularly, especially coming into the May holiday weekend. The next public tour is on Thursday, 30 April, at 11am, followed by numerous different tours across the holiday weekend.

All are welcome. Just reserve your place in advance. Link in bio ๐Ÿ” or in the comments.

๐Ÿ“ข 8 year anniversary! ๐ŸŽ‰

The first ever Cardiff walking tour took place on Easter Saturday 2018, and 8 years, 1,900 tours and tens of thousands of guests later, people are still following me around ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Easter weekend was wild and windy at times but overall it's been another amazing weekend. Always one of the best periods of the year, this year was no different.

Thanks to everyone who joined all of the different tours over the last few days, especially this fun bunch on Easter Saturday morning who were willing to humour me with an anniversary photo ๐Ÿ“ธ

The busy Easter period isn't quite over yet though. The Cardiff city tour will take place on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday across the second week of Easter, as it does every week. The Arcades Tour is also taking place on Thursday at 1:30pm (9 April). All are welcome. You can reserve your place on the website, and the link is in the profile description.

One of my favourite views in Cardiff city centre ๐Ÿ“ธ

The scene down Golate from St.Mary St combines both the old and new of Cardiff. Golate is one of the oldest streets in the city, running down to the banks of where the Taff once flowed. The Queen's Vaults, one of the city's most iconic pubs today, adds a bit of colour to the street, while the old post office building at the end, on Westgate St, is now one of the nicest hotels in the city, the Parkgate. The BT building completes the scene in the background โ˜€๏ธ

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ
For more views like these and to learn more about the history and culture of Cardiff then join one of our tours this Easter time ๐Ÿฃ

๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธThe Cardiff city tour takes place at least once per day between Thursday, 2nd, and Tuesday, 7th, April, generally at 11am and also at 2pm on Food Friday and Easter Saturday. There are Dark Side and Doctor Who tours available across the Easter weekend as well. All are welcome!

To reserve your place on a tour and check the schedule then you can find the link in the page description or in the comments. Thank you.

Delighted to be awarded the Best Told Story award again this year ๐ŸŽ‰ Was a very nice surprise to get this in the post this week ๐Ÿ’Œ

Having the recognition and approval from the country's national body is a real vote of confidence so it feels great to have that backing ๐Ÿฆš

Ianto's Shrine in Cardiff Bay is set to be removed in the next few weeks. It's been, relatively, big news in Cardiff over the last week or two due to the unexpected longevity of its existence and its significance to Doctor Who and Torchwood fans that have visited the city to see it and to many more across the world.

Personally, it will be a big loss to Doctor Who tours, and even to Cardiff Bay tours as it's always a talking point and a bit of a novelty. Cardiff doesn't have enough Doctor Who stuff considering it's made here, and this is one of only a couple of major acknowledgements to show people...

Anyway, here's an article from Cardiff University for which I was asked for my thoughts and a few quotes...

Iantoโ€™s Shrine removal: Why is it important to international fans? March 12, 2026March 12, 2026 Ariana Tejada Vargas For 17 years, the shrine has been an important spot for fans, and last week it was announced that it was going to be removed due to safety concerns. How hasย this impacted fansย aro...

Saturday was a beautiful day in Cardiff on what was the sunniest and warmest day of the year so far โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ

It was for a lovely backdrop prior to the Wales - Italy game at the Principality. There was a lot of colour around town and St. Mary St and High St were abuzz with activity from early on in the day, with more Italians than usual visiting the city for the game ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

Here are a few photos from around the city centre from early Saturday afternoon ๐Ÿ“ธ

It made for a nice day for walking tours too! But unfortunately the sunshine didn't last...
