This is what summer lunches should look like 🇮🇹☀️🌊

Sunshine, sea views, great food and a cold cocktail in hand just minutes from Cardiff city centre.

is the Italian pop-up on Penarth Promenade, serving classic Italian dishes, fresh seafood, pizza and all the summer drinks you’d expect, from Aperol Spritz and Negronis to ice-cold Limoncello.

With a large outdoor terrace overlooking the sea and Penarth Pier, it’s one of those places where lunch can easily turn into an afternoon. If you time it right, you might even catch the Waverley paddle steamer arriving on one of its summer excursions.

Honestly, we’re struggling to think of a better way to spend a sunny afternoon.

12 baby brick dragons are taking over The Red Dragon Centre this summer 🐉✨

A brand-new free family trail called Brick Draig is arriving in Cardiff Bay from 15th July to 31st August, giving families the chance to meet 12 adorable brick-built dragon hatchlings.

Each dragon represents one of the elemental worlds of Fire, Earth, Water and Air, and has its own special eco mission. Visitors will be invited to help the young dragons find their rightful realms by following clues hidden throughout the Centre.

Families can scan a QR code to begin the adventure, search for dragon eggs, solve clues and discover which elemental realm they belong to before making their own eco pledge.

Packed with brick-built displays, interactive storytelling and plenty of dragon-themed fun, Brick Draig has been designed to spark curiosity while encouraging environmental awareness.

Best of all, it’s completely free, making it a great addition to the summer holidays in Cardiff Bay. 🐉🌍✨
