We’ve had the Sun and the Moon, and now large replica of the Earth is coming to Cardiff! 🌍

Luke Jerram’s incredible Gaia installation is coming to Techniquest this September, with a huge six-metre-wide illuminated Earth set to hang above the exhibition floor.

Created using detailed NASA imagery, the slowly rotating planet will be accompanied by a soundtrack from BAFTA award-winning composer Dan Jones.

And unlike Helios and Museum of the Moon, Gaia is here to stay, becoming the first permanent installation of the artwork in Wales.

It launches at After Hours: Gaia Gathering on Thursday 24 September, with future events beneath the Earth including yoga under the earth, pottery painting, talks and family activities.

After the Sun and the Moon, Cardiff is getting the whole planet. 🌍✨

NEW SHOW : Disney On Ice returns to Cardiff next Spring

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and the gang are packing their bags as Disney On Ice presents Road Trip Adventures skates into Cardiff for the first time next spring, taking over the Utilita Arena from 24th February – 28th February 2027.

The action-packed show will take families on a journey through some of Disney and Pixar’s most-loved worlds - from Mary Poppins Returns to Moana, The Lion King, Aladdin, Toy Story 4, The Incredibles 2 and Frozen.

Tickets go on pre-sale on Friday 18th September and on general sale from Friday 25th September

ONE of Wales’ favourite pumpkin events is back - and it’s bigger, brighter, and more magical than ever!

Clearwell Farm 🌻🎃🎄 incredible Pumpkin Village is returning from 2nd October, bringing more than 60,000 pumpkins, street food, entertainment and plenty of autumn fun to the outskirts of Cardiff throughout October.

Fresh from their huge headline performances at Reading & Leeds Festival, Fontaines D.C. have been announced as the first act for Blackweir 2027 in Cardiff! 🎸🔥

Cardiff Market has announced another late-night market, taking place on Friday 25 September! 🌙🍴🎶

The historic indoor market will stay open late for one night, with food traders serving into the evening, drinks flowing and live music bringing the market to life after dark.

DJ Peter O will also be joining the party, banging out a soundtrack of Ibiza classics for one last summer late night matket! 🪩☀️

Cardiff Card collectors, this one’s for you!

The Cardiff Bay Card Show is returning to The Red Dragon Centre this September, bringing a
weekend of collecting, trading and family fun to Cardiff Bay.
Taking place on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, from 10am to 4pm, the event is
being hosted by The Red Dragon Centre in partnership with Vendiboyz. Now a firm favourite
with local collectors, the two-day event will bring together fans of the Pokémon Trading Card
Game for a chance to browse, buy, sell and trade cards.
A wide range of vendors will be attending, offering visitors the opportunity to discover new
cards, add to their collections and trade with fellow enthusiasts. Whether they are seasoned
collectors or just starting out, there will be plenty to explore throughout the weekend.
The event will also feature special character appearances, giveaways and plenty of
opportunities for visitors to get involved. There could even be a few extra surprises for those
spotted showing off their best themed fancy dress or doing a good deed during the
weekend.

Six weeks are officially over and the kids are going back to school! 🎒🙌

There might be more traffic on the roads and the morning rush is back, but after six long weeks, the schools are open again! 😂
