🏆✨ Huge congratulations to Matthew Rhys - Emmy history maker! ✨🏆

Matthew is the first actor ever to win two lead acting Emmys in the same night, taking home Outstanding Lead Actor awards for both The Beast in Me and Widow’s Bay 👏

And of course we’re super proud that Matthew stayed right here at Trenewydd during a trip home to Wales. ❤️ Not sure I’ll ever get over the shock of seeing actual Matthew Rhys coming to check in with us!

🐄☕ A cheeky little trip out this morning...

First stop was breakfast at The Moody Cow Welsh Kitchen & Farm Shop, and we can highly recommend it! Well priced, excellent quality, and a hearty start to your day 😋

Then we headed over to gorgeous New Quay for a wander around the lovely little shops, a mooch along the harbour and, of course, a spot of dolphin watching. 🐬

Well... attempted dolphin watching! 😂 Apparently we'd missed some playing around the quayside by about 10 minutes. Typical!

Still, you really can't complain when you're standing there looking out across Cardigan Bay on a beautiful morning, even if it was looking a little moody. 💙

And it's not just us who think New Quay is rather special. In 2025, it was named the UK's top coastal town by Holidaycars.com, beating some pretty impressive seaside destinations around Britain.

It's easy to see why. A gorgeous harbour, sandy beaches, independent shops, lovely places to eat and the chance of spotting dolphins from the shore... what's not to love? 🐬🌊

New Quay is only a short drive from Trenewydd, making it a brilliant day out during your stay with us. Next month’s blog is all about this gorgeous little village. ❤️

Errr... more fame right on our doorstep! ⭐️🌻

The Pembrokeshire Sunflower Farm is just a few minutes from at Trenewydd, and it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re staying with us. The sunflowers may have finished for another year, but don’t worry... we're sure the pumpkins are on their way! 🎃

The Hawkstone Farmers Choir, who are not only Britain's Got Talent 2026 winners, but the FIRST EVER CHOIR to win the show! 🎤👏

Andrew is currently surrounded by track, trying to piece the whole thing together! 😂

It’s definitely harder than it looks to create a super-duper layout that ticks all the boxes: fast, fun, exciting, and achievable for everyone. 🏎️💨

We’re working hard and, all being well, we’re aiming for an opening in October half term! 🎉

There’s still plenty to figure out, but we’re getting closer… and we can’t wait to see you all flying around the finished track! 🔥🏁

🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

We love our four-legged guests here at Trenewydd Farm, and our dog-friendly cottages make the perfect base for a holiday together. 🐶❤️

With beautiful countryside walks, dog-friendly beaches and plenty of dog-friendly restaurants nearby, there’s so much to explore in West Wales with your best friend.

We were running a little low on red dragons at Trenewydd, so a fresh delivery was ordered! 🐲❤️

A very special guestbook entry… but on paper! ✍️❤️

We were so touched when our lovely, and super talented, guests left us this beautiful hand-drawn picture of Blackberry Shepherds Hut today.

They’ve captured the whole scene, including the little boardwalk, the grasses, the entrance and, of course, Blackberry itself. 🌿

Thank you so much for such a wonderful memento. This is going straight into a frame to hang in the Hut! 🥰 💚

One of Cardigan’s biggest and best loved events returns to the banks of the River Teifi. Expect delicious local food and drink, Welsh producers, street food, live music, demonstrations, crafts and plenty of action on the river too! 🌊😋

🍺 Ab**rTeifi Beerfest | 28 to 30 August
It’s back for the Bank Holiday weekend! Three days of b**r, c***r, food and live music at the Albion and Castle Inn. 🍻🎶 Perfect for a leisurely afternoon or evening in town.

🎨 Craft Festival Wales | 11 to 13 September
Cardigan Castle provides a spectacular setting for this fabulous three day celebration of making and creativity. Around 100 talented makers will be showcasing their work, alongside demonstrations, workshops, talks, live music, food and plenty more. 🧵🏺✨

And of course, when you’ve had your fill of food, drink and shopping, you can come back to Trenewydd, put your feet up and enjoy the peace and quiet! 🏡🌿
