As promised here are the details of the play park in the village, along with the tennis courts and bowling green.

When you head into Dalston and go round the left-hand bend past the Bridge End Inn, follow the road over the hu**ed road at the bridge then halfway along the straight into the village look for the two signs on the right hand side of the road. At this point you need to turn left in the narrow gateway at this house. There is parking further through.

As we have come to the end of summer season it is time to take the trampoline down.

It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision that it will be sold.

It will not be replaced due to a small minority of guests who cannot accept the rules that we have to operate under. It is a lot of extra work and paperwork for us and we simply do not need the additional stress.

We apologise to the majority of our guests who accept the rules that are put in place for their children's wellbeing.😘

I will put a post on Facebook in the next couple of days with photos, showing you the village playground which is located at the recreation ground in Dalston.

Cabin refurbishments are underway! Fox and Badger pods are due this year and we have started on Fox as we want everything fresh and renewed for our annual guests who will return at the beginning of November as the new Mr & Mrs for their honeymoon! 😁 We cannot wait for their arrival and look forward to hosting them for their special occasion. 🥰😘😘🍾🥂👰‍♀️👰‍♂️🎊🎉

Chester is having a garden/house morning keeping me company whilst doing the ironing. The volume of little people on site is just too much this weekend and making her a little nervous. She is such an adorable little lady. 😍

We had fabulous few hours off last Saturday to attend our village agricultural show with Chester our shetland pony and the grandchildren. We all had a fabulous time including Chester who seemed to love every minute of it! Even better we won the fancy dress competition. 😀 Chester is such a lovely pony who makes us smile and is growing her own fan club here at Thornfield. Certainly a great addition all round. ❤️
