Another lovely exhibition of Solway based artwork coming up at the Pear Tree Tearoom, Bowness on Solway.

Looking forward to the next two weekends at the Pear Tree Tearoom … starting tomorrow. Bowness, which stands at the end of the wall and the end of the viaduct, has always had a fascination for me. A very special place.

Had to share this being so representative of how Solwayconnections guided tours aim to share both sides of the Solway coast with clients. Also love Annie's Art House work.

In a fortnight I’ll be in the Harbour Cottage and, following that exhibition, I’ll be in Bowness for two weekends. Please come and say hello if you’re in the area.

A new way of exploring Annan and it’s rich history-

✨ The Annan Active Heritage Trail is here! ✨
We’re absolutely delighted to see the trail now live around the town. It’s been a huge piece of work by many people, volunteers like Rene and Terry and the hard work of the Trustees. It’s great to finally share it with you all.
Please bear with us over the next week or so as we iron out a few small technical issues with the “Scan for more history” and History Hound QR codes — these seem to be affecting some Apple phones in particular. We’re working on it.
The good news is the Scan to Listen QR codes are working well and will take you straight to our new ATHT website, where you can enjoy an immersive journey around Annan 🎧 by narrator Terry Dray
You’ll find:
Tom’s recital of The Deil’s Awa wi’ the Exciseman
Joyce’s Ballad of Annan Water
Burns’s recitals from the children of Elmvale Primary
and more voices from across the town.
Get out, explore, listen, and enjoy discovering Annan’s history in a whole new way. 🐾📍
