It is a beautiful holiday weekend and if you are anywhere near the Black Mountain try and get off the beaten track to see the heather.
Having got lost up on the hillside a few days ago I found myself in a sea of purple, the smell was amazing.

We are switching to a more eco friendly approach to laundry this month. Keen to reduce our use of plastics and chemicals we are trialing Earth Breeze eco sheets. This small package comes by post in a recyclable cardboard sachet, boasts zero plastic packaging, is hypoallergenic, cruelty free and great for our grey water system. Looking forward to seeing the results during the next few changeovers.

Black Mountain BreakAway has enhanced its eco-credentials by providing excellent toilet paper. This is just what we needed to complete the eco friendly compost toilet, a quality toilet paper from 'Who gives a crap'. The paper is made from 100% recycled paper, is created without bleaches or dyes and packed without any plastic.
Better still...the company plough 50% of their profit to provide toilets in places in desperate need of sanitation! Good news all round.

Our first guests enjoyed beautiful weather over the Easter weekend and spent time along the river, sitting by the bonfire and walking in the Brecon Beacons. Lets hope for more beautiful spring days to come.
