Kiera Jones - Soul Midwife

Kiera Jones - Soul Midwife Death and dying need hold no fear, and can be a beautiful experience for all involved. www.kieraljones.com I know which I would rather.

Talking about death and dying does not make it happen, nor does it make it happen sooner. Rather, talking about it can mean the difference between having more control over your situation and being able to shape things the way you want them, or having decisions made for you.

A huge thank you to Dr Kathryn Mannix for an amazing couple of days talking about death and dying, and sharing her wisdom and experience with us and opening up the conversation.
Thank you to Skanda Vale Hospice for hosting Thursday's event, and to everyone who attend the Carmarthen event at Parc Dewi Sant yesterday, it was a great turn out and there were some really interesting conversations.
Thank you Cathy B Thompson - celebrant, for being my co-organiser, to Kam Wi******er of Acupuncture in Eden and to Red Kite Solicitors in Carmarthen and Mandy of Books at the Dragon's Garden, Llandovery (https://dragons-garden.com/) for sponsoring An Afternoon with Dr Kathryn Mannix - Carmarthen, and thank you to The Old Mill Foundation for coming and having a stand.
Of course as always, thank you to Jim Fox and to Robert Jones and Mary Elizabeth Jones for all your support with this event.
Here's to the next event...
I'd highly recommend Dr Mannix's 2 current books: 'With the End in Mind' and 'Listen'. Happy reading!

I don't often post here, life is busy and I don’t always have the opportunity or inspiration to share nuggets of wisdom. I do continue to offer support to people who are nearing the end of their lives, and support to their loved ones who are holding the space and managing their own situations, in my role as a Soul Midwife. I'm currently reading 'Listen' by Dr Kathryn Mannix which is beautiful and inspiring and moving, and I'd really recommend reading it, particularly for those of you who engage in 'tender conversations' 💜

If we call a conversation ‘difficult,’ then it probably will be. Our own anxieties and agendas crowd into our minds, and they distract us from […]Read more

There can be a profound beauty and sacredness in the moment of dying, despite the difficulties and struggles that may precede it. To accompany someone on that part of their journey, is a gift and a privilege.

Decisions about the end of life care are often challenging, and never more so than during a pandemic. I love this story and the decision this family made together 💜

Rita Perrott went into a care home, but then visiting was curtailed. Her family didn't want her to die alone.
