You will notice that one of our cottages is named after the famous Yorkshire mountain; Ingleborough. Standing at 2,372 ft high, it is the second-highest mountain in the Yorkshire Dales and is one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks (the other two being Whernside and Pen-y-ghent). Sleeping 8 adults comfortably, our Ingleborough Cottage is the perfect base if you are thinking of taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge or exploring the surrounding Dales, Peaks and Valleys. Just one of the historic features of Kirkby Lonsdale is St Mary's Church. Not only used as a place of regular worship but is a significant visitor attraction, running many art and cultural events.
The Church of St Mary the Virgin is Norman in origin, probably built between 1093 and 1130, although there was an old Saxon Church on the site before. The church displays a range of architectural styles, some dating from the early 12th century. The tower houses six bells, the oldest dating from 1633, and the newest from 1724. It also benefits from a beautiful setting, overlooking the River Lune. A lovely place to sit and read a book and enjoy the peaceful gardens.

Sizergh Castle NT - Visit the Castle, Gardens and try the new 'Wild Play Trail'.
Levens Hall - House and gardens and on the 27th May Wellness Walks inspired by the fantastic reactions from Robson Green and Helen Skelton as Francesca Anderson took them on a short Wellness Walk at Levens Hall.

Welcome to Kirkby Lonsdale Cottages, and thank you for taking the time to read about us. The birth of the project began in 2015 with a plot of land. A vision of two lovely, spacious self catering properties. Designed for purpose, and brought to life by an owner with an eye for modern design and a flare for creating contemporary, welcoming spaces. The two homes, Ingleborough House and Pen-y Ghent House were completed in August 2018. They boast sumptuous contemporary furnishings, beautiful bathrooms, high tech appliances, bespoke designer kitchens, cosy underfloor heating and outdoor hot tubs. Each home sleeps up to 8 people across 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. They are stunning holiday homes, set in the forever popular market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. Only launched in September last year, the feedback and reviews from guests has been excellent, with some guests booking to return again later in the year.

Ingleborough House sleeps a maximum of 8 adults. Additional children may stay if pre arranged with the owner, there is however a limit due to insurance restrictions. There is parking for 4 cars. Unfortunately we do not allow camper vans due to space limits unless pre arranged with the owner.
