‼️2 places left‼️COME AND JOIN CAMINO CONFIDENCE & BEYOND IN 2027 FOR A GUIDED SLOW STROLL OVER THE PYRENEES FROM SAINT JEAN PIED DE PORT IN FRANCE TO ESTELLA IN SPAIN
WHICH ROUTE?

The Camino Frances – Saint Jean Pied de Port in France to Estella in Spain ‼️2 places left‼️

WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR?

The usual age range on our guided slow strolls is from around 45 years of age to 80 years of age. However, we obviously welcome women of any age. We have experienced that age is just a number having guided women in their 70's & 80's who have really given us a run for our money.

What truly matters is a positive mindset. However, there are some very challenging inclines and descents on this route so a good level of fitness is very important.. Do you exercise regularly? Are you a keen hiker, if not are you prepared to train? If you answered yes to these questions, then this Camino is for you.

ABOUT THE ROUTE

This walk is special in so many ways, but what really sets it apart from the other Camino routes, is that we’ll be starting in France and finishing in Spain.

We will arrive in SJPP on the 18th May 2027, but instead of walking the following day, we will have the benefit of a day off in SJPP to recover from our travels and make any last-minute purchases or adjustments to our equipment.

We will start our 114km/70 miles walk in the old town of SJPP and walk uphill over the Pyrenees to Refuge Orisson where you will experience your first communal meal. The trail is challenging but we encourage you to take your time, enjoy the views and take lots of rests and photos.

Over the next 9 days, this journey takes you from steep breathtaking peaks through the historic city of Pamplona and onwards to Estella where there are good transport links. You will be able to experience the incredible church of Saint Mary of Eunate close to the Camino town of Puente la Reina (dependent on weather) and have your photo taken next to the iconic metal monument of the pilgrims which stands at 770 metres. In Cafe Iruna in Pamplona, you hang out where Ernest Hemingway spent time with his fellow writers and celebrated his 1926 seminal novel, The Sun Also Rises.

There are no words that can accurately be used to describe how beautiful this route is. The Pyrenees are so vast and completely overwhelming. You will feel tired, excited, proud and tired again, it will be an experience you will never forget.

IS A CAMINO SLOW STROLL FOR ME?

Do you enjoy walking with like-minded women? Do you prefer to walk reasonable daily distances at a more leisurely pace but don’t mind a couple of more challenging days to get your heart pumping? Are you happy to share private accommodation within the group? Then a Slow Stroll is definitely for you.

Day 3 Variante espiritual from Vigo to Redondela. Camino Confidence&Beyond. Guided by Moni.

We learned in our route in the touristic bus the Vigo is becoming a vertical city due to the moving walkways and lifts in town. We took one to avoid part of the uphill but.. the Camino is what it is and soon enough we have to have the first one :), not without stopping before for a snack, café or bathroom or the 3 of them.

Astonishing views above Vigo estuary and the Rande bridge. Arriving in Redondela with it's impressive viaducts we were ready to rest in our beautiful manor house and to have dinner in an old restored mill. :) We waited patiently for our taxis to pick us up.

It was a tough day due to the heat and the uphills but everyone passed with flying colors and we celebrated, first in the pool of our impressive Pazo ( Galician manor house,) and later on with an amazing dinner in a beautiful place off the beaten track :). It was the birthday of one of the ladies so sangria was served :).

COME AND JOIN CAMINO CONFIDENCE & BEYOND IN 2027 FOR A GUIDED SLOW STROLL ON THE DI**LE WAY/KERRY CAMINO IN IRELAND

THERE ARE 2 DATES AVAILABLE:
SSDINWAY0727(1) 5th to the 14th of July 2027
SSDINWAY0727(2) 16th to the 25th of July 2027

WHICH ROUTE IS IT?
The Di**le Way/Kerry Camino

WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR?
This route is rated easy/medium however there are a couple of steep ascents and descents that can be quite challenging, especially in bad weather, and require concentration. Walking poles are recommended and at least one pair of waterproof walking shoes.

ABOUT THE ROUTE
The Di**le Way is located in the Di**le Peninsula, in County Kerry, Ireland. The complete route is around 179 km/111 miles long. You will, however, be walking a slow stroll so will cover around 80 km/ 50 miles.

The Di**le way is so diverse, not one day is the same. For example, one day you will be walking along the foothills of the Slieve Mish mountains and the next day you could be strolling along a beach next to the crashing waves of the Atlantic.

What is special about this route are the incredible views and scenery and for those of you who have a passion for history, you will encounter some of the finest archaeological sites along the
way.

The Di**le Way may feel remote in places and the facilities are few and far between, but it passes through some really picturesque villages with small shops and typical Irish pubs where you can buy food and drink.

SOME FACTS ABOUT THIS WONDERFUL ROUTE

➜ The first three days follow the same trail as the Kerry Camino, which follows in the footsteps of St. Brendan The Navigator, who sailed to America in a curragh in the 6th Century. Brendan is the patron saint of sailors and the United States Navy.
➜ The Kerry Camino is one of 10 Celtic Caminos that can be combined with the Camino Ingles in Spain. And like the Camino de Santiago, you will be provided with a logbook and collect stamps along the way to get a certificate of completion, which can be made part of your Celtic Camino.
➜ On the way we’ll pass ancient so-called beehive huts, some from the 7th Century, thought to be used by monks and later by farmers for storage and shelter.
➜ We’ll also visit the Blasket Centre, which tells the story about the community that once thrived on the now uninhabited island close to the mainland, and how it kept its own words and ways, becoming famous for its storyteller traditions and literature.
➜ The port town of Di**le has been voted Ireland’s no 1 Foodie Town, whether it’s from a food truck or pub grub or fine dining, with most restaurants offering a range of fresh seafood, and you can also try unusual and delicious ice cream flavours, like Irish Brown Bread and Sea Salt!

WHAT IS A SLOW STROLL
Slow Strolls are mindful, fully guided walks along various stages and routes. They are usually between 7 and 14 days long, with relatively easy 10–15 km or 6–9 mile daily stages, though this varies depending on the route and can include some challenges. Slow Strolls are designed for small friendly and supportive groups of women, sharing twin rooms in comfortable accommodation. Your luggage will be transported so that you can relax without the strain of carrying a heavy backpack, and you will be able to meet your group and your guide online before you go, and ask questions about packing, preparation, and travel.

What our fabulous customers are saying 🥰 thank you Paula

Thank you again to Carol and Camino Confidence for another wonderful experience walking the Di**le way in Ireland!

This has been my third trip working with Carol and I am grateful once again. We stayed at beautiful places, walked many kilometers with a group of women who quickly became friends, marvelous meals, and experienced the beauty of Ireland.

I was grateful to get to know Linda, our guide, who was more than helpful and generous, witty and compassionate all at once!

Camino Confidence. He has given me the confidence to travel, to hike and to experience so many new things! Thank you thank you thank you! ☘️💚
