A little while ago, this trip was just a conversation.

Avalon is one I find myself talking about more and more.

The reason is simple.

The ships feel spacious, relaxed and genuinely comfortable.

Their famous Panorama Suites are among the largest standard cabins on Europe's rivers, the dining is excellent and with included excursions, eBikes and small ships carrying as few as 128 guests, it's a very easy way to explore Europe.

What strikes me most is just how much space there is throughout the ship. From the lounge areas to the cabins, it feels far more like a boutique hotel than a traditional cruise.

And the pricing?

Most people expect it to cost far more than it actually does.
