Peru completely exceeded all expectations for Radders (one of our brilliant finance team members here at HA). 🌎

She watched the clouds lift over Machu Picchu in the pouring rain, discovered all kinds of weird and wonderfully colourful fruit in the markets of Cusco and Lima, and drank espresso naranja (weirdly delicious). After adventuring through the unexpected of Peru’s desert landscapes, her first trip to Peru ended up being so much more than a bucket-list tick-off.

Somehow it’s already the start of June and time to share another round-up of all the ‘Behind-the-Scenes’ joy from May…

This month has been golden. So many happy moments, from adventures to Connection Days; it’s been so special, and we count ourselves lucky every day to be surrounded by such an incredible team.

Okay, so here is the breakdown of the month!
1. Some of Team HA on our last connection day. It was a very, very warm day, and we had our lovely yearly walk along Cleeve Hill.
2. Our wonderful Dawn returned from her trip to Sri Lanka. She spent her time surrounded by the wonderful locals at her wellness retreat, meditating and eating good food.
3. Cat goes on holiday to Costa Rica! This was an adventure-filled trip to say the least! Here you can see her horse-riding through the forest.
4. We welcomed our newest addition to our Client Experience team, Harriet! She’s been in the travel industry for nearly 10 years now, and naturally she became one of us in no time!
5. Erin and Jenni go to Japan together: Our Japan expert, Erin, returned to Japan, taking concierge Jenni along for the ride. Their days were filled with exploring and soaking up all Japan has to offer. Erin even wrestled a sumo!
6. Our lovely destination manager, Paul, and his wife welcomed their 3rd baby! Biggest congratulations to you all, we are all so pleased for you 💛.
7. Gabs from marketing adventured up to Scotland and completed route 500 with the world's sweetest man, her dad Smhchie.

Thats a wrap! June, we can't wait to see what you have to offer.

“Malaysia is one of my favourite places on the planet” – Ian, HA Malaysia Destination Manager

Following his recent research trip through Singapore & Malaysia, our specialist Ian returned with one very clear takeaway: “It’s so important to slow down and really experience what you are seeing”.

Ian spent time along the Desaru Coast and in rainforest lodges deep in the jungle, sampling treats from the street food stalls of Kuala Lumpur and wandering Penang’s character-filled backstreets, this is a destination that Ian knows better than the back of his hand.

September is one of those sweet spots in travel. There are fewer crowds to contend with, and some destinations are at their absolute best.

We all truly loved our last connection day. If you missed our last post, we spent the day at Hilltop farm with the Cotswolds National Landscape , helping restore and preserve land that had once been intensively farmed.

Of course, there was our usual silliness, but we all got completely and utterly stuck in. We came away being extremely proud of one another. We of course finished the day off with a well-earned drink at the pub (obviously).

As you may already know, we like to do a team connection day every month, varying across all sorts of different activities, that we can do together, as a team. We like to make sure we sped a handful of those days every year, volunteering and making a real difference to our local community.

It’s careful, ongoing work, creating space for the landscape to recover, and for natural wildlife to return and thrive over time. If you’re ever looking to spend a day doing something hands-on and genuinely worthwhile, we couldn’t recommend it enough.
