Last week, whilst in London for the Black Book luxury travel trade show, I was kindly hosted by Firmdale Hotels for an overnight stay Covent Garden Hotel

Not only was I hosted, I was upgraded to this fabulous suite, where I enjoyed a very indulgent bubble bath whilst sipping a glass of Ch*****ne, before getting ready for the TTG Media Top 20 Awards dinner. I may also have stopped by the bar to enjoy cheeky cocktail and, before checking out the next day, tucked into the most amazing Detox Smoothie and Eggs Florentine with a side of perfectly cooked crispy bacon 🥓 😋

Last week, I attended the first, Black Book luxury travel trade show, at BDC London.

Two days packed full of insightful guest speakers, meaningful conversations, networking, and one to one meetings between some of the most highly regarded luxury travel advisors and suppliers.

I came away with many hugely valuable and exciting additions to my own black book - I can't wait to share my new found inspiration and contacts to create even more fabulous trips and experiences into 2027 and beyond!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting this fabulous development of previously derelict barns in Atcham, on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

My old friend (in years, not age!), and client, Hannah Burton, has meticulously and sympathetically brought these barns back to life in conjunction with Horton & Co | Interior Design Interior Design, of which she is a Director.

Hannah and her team have such a great eye for blending natural materials, local craftsmanship, colour and pattern to create truly dreamy rural homes.

The barns will be rented rather than sold, with some spoken for already, but if you're considering a move to this beautiful part of the country, let me know and I can make an introduction.

I was inspired for my own home renovation and came away with lots of ideas, two of the beautiful, hand woven light shades and an antique w**e table! 🍷
