We come together with heavy hearts to remember and celebrate the life of Laura Simpson.
It is difficult to find the right words when saying goodbye to someone who meant so much to so many people. Laura's passing, following a short illness, has left a profound sense of loss among her family, friends, colleagues, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
For more than 25 years, Laura dedicated herself to the travel industry, building an outstanding reputation based not only on professionalism and expertise but, more importantly, on how she treated people. She was respected and admired by colleagues, clients, and suppliers alike. Laura genuinely loved what she did, and that passion shone through in every conversation, every relationship, and every experience she helped create.
But Laura was far more than her career. She brought warmth, kindness, humour, and positivity wherever she went. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel valued, welcomed, and understood. Whether you worked alongside her for many years or met her only briefly, Laura left a lasting impression. She cared deeply about those around her and formed friendships that extended well beyond the workplace.
For those of us in Elite Travel Concierge, this loss feels especially personal. Many had the privilege of working alongside Laura for decades, sharing not only professional successes but also countless memories, laughter, and enduring friendships. Her colleagues became her friends, and her friends became part of her extended family.
Laura's absence will be felt deeply, but so too will her presence remain with us through the memories she leaves behind. We will remember her generosity, her unwavering support for others, her infectious sense of humour, and the genuine care she showed to everyone she encountered.
While we mourn the loss of a treasured colleague and dear friend, we are also grateful for having known her. The impact she made on so many lives is a testament to the wonderful person she was.
