How do I summarise the amazing fam trip we have just done to three magnificent regions in Italy…all of which are featured in our stunningly beautiful Italy brochure. Emilia with its slow food and fast cars, Parmesan, Parma ham and Aceto Balsamico. We stayed in two superb hotels Tenuta di Roncolo and Palazzo di Varignana. Sadly our hire cars were not Ferraris Lamborghini’s Maseratis or Paganis but we did love the Modena circuit!. Then it was a brief but breath-taking hop into Le Marche another exciting region with its beautiful coastline at Pesaro where we experienced the wonderfully elegant and relaxing Excelsior Hotel, went for a city walk in the footsteps of Rossini with a private audience with the Prefetto/Head of the Region in the most stunning historic building before heading into the hills to experience one of the jewels in Le Marches crown…Urbino. We dined and overnighted in Perugia at the historic starting our final leg in Umbria. A total highlight (but there were so many) was Truffle hunting the following day in Norcia with and the Charismatic Nicola. Norcia is stunning too. Our last sunset was from the magnificent Borgobrufa SPA Resort before the long drive back to Bologna via Cortona where we had our last and most spectacular lunch at the beautiful …What a trip in 5 glorious days with the most wonderful group of Agents and Zoe from our Reservations team. Tons of laughter, enthusiasm especially for the gastronomy and wine. Memories we will treasure for a very long time!
