If you think Florida is just theme parks, think again.
We were staying at Reunion Resort and drove just thirty minutes down the 429 to Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive and I was honestly blown away.
Alligators everywhere from the moment we entered. Huge ones. Incredible birdlife. At one point we even saw two alligators asleep with fish still in their mouths.
It is completely free and part of an amazing restoration story.
