Would you take your children swimming with sharks?
We did. The biggest ones on the planet. 🦈
Nearly 500 dives and Mrs Jo had never seen a whale shark. Our children saw one on one of their first-ever Caribbean snorkel trips in Mexico.
The good news is that Whale sharks are filter feeders. They're there for the plankton, not for you.
They're also listed as Endangered, so who you swim with matters.
Before we booked, we researched deeply into who runs these trips. We wanted an operator that puts the shark first and the photo opp second.
We checked the group size in the water, distance rules and no touching.
Send this to the friend who'd say "absolutely not" 😂
Follow for more family adventures, planned properly.
