If you have a few small ones we’d totally recommend for a day out. Lots of friendly animals to look at and feed, an onsite cafe with lovely homemade produce, outdoor and indoor play areas and heaps of interesting facts to read about! Only about 35 minutes from Conkers. is a pretty cool National Trust property to look round to! 🐄 🐓 🐐 🐴 🦃 🐖

We feel like spring is finally on the way here . We’ve been drilling the last of the spring crops in the past week and enjoying the sunshine ☀️Dog walks are one of our favourite things to do (although not for me for a few weeks as I’ve broken my ankle 🙈).

Three generations planting trees along the farm drive last week . We suffered quite a lot of damage with the recent storms and so some trees have had to be removed and replaced with new saplings. One thing we absolutely love is the tree lined farm drive leading to Conkers. The children will be able to see the results of their efforts in years to come and hopefully remember planting them with their grandfather (and us). 🌳

Explore Cardingmill Valley Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd NT located about ten minutes away from Conkers’ Cottage A beautiful place to have a walk, coffee in the cafe or for the kids to have a play in the stream. We went today, cold but great fun. We even saw the wild ponies playing too 🐴

A while since we last posted but we’ve been busy here
We’ve just finished putting together a new information booklet and have re-painted the entrance room and stairs. Hoping for good weather this coming Spring and welcoming all our lovely guests. 😊

I cannot tell you how good these are! Pizza night at The Crown is just great. They run every fortnight. Seated outside under a fairy lit canopy with a toasty fire to keep you warm and your pizza cooked right in front of you in the purpose built pizza oven. Only a five minute drive from us. If you didn’t want to sit in; then take out 🍕 😋
