Hi Forest Barners. What a delight to share the news that the hand pulled ferry at Symonds Yat has been refurbished by Saracens Head pub proprietor and is back in use. Now you can walk to Biblins pedestrian suspension bridge and walk back on the other side of the Wye and get back to your car via the ferry. Thanks Saracens and looking forward to a pint by the water again this summer. Lynda

Out with the old, in with the beautifully pleached!

We’ve had to say goodbye to the lovely Crimson King Acer and the variegated Acer in Meadow Byre’s cobbled courtyard, as their roots were beginning to damage the stonework.

In their place, we’ve planted four elegant pleached hornbeams -and they are just starting to unfurl their fresh new leaves! 🍃

It’s their first season, but they are already looking happy and healthy- and in no time, they’ll form a stunning natural screen sun trap for alfresco dining in this peaceful courtyard.
