What an incredible first week in the USA for Lily and Abi! 🇺🇸⚽️

Lily has been based at Ken Caryl Ranch House this week for soccer camp and has been lucky enough to stay with the most amazing host family, complete with two children and their lovely dog. They very kindly took her to their other home in Breckenridge for the weekend, where she enjoyed even more adventures. The weather has been fantastic, and they have packed so much into just one week! Lily discovered pickleball, played volleyball with the locals, and wrapped up the first week of camp on Friday with a huge water fight before heading straight to the pool afterwards. Also pictured is the Empower Field at Mile High - Denver, Colorado; home of the Denver Broncos NFL Team, with a capacity of 76,125 seats.

Lily has now made the short journey to Aurora, where she will take on the role of Camp Director and stay with a different host family.

Meanwhile, Abi has had an amazing first week in Arizona. She has been coaching the TinyTikes (3–5 year olds) each morning from 8:00–8:45am before working with the older children from 9:00am–4:00pm. Away from camp, Abi has been welcomed with incredible hospitality, having been taken out for dinner by three different families during the week. In her own words, she was also treated to a beautiful walk around the Grand Canyon – an experience she won't forget in a hurry!

Pictured below is Lily and Harry - proudly flying the Grimsby Town flag in the States! 🖤⚪️🐟🇺🇸

It's safe to say everybody has had a fantastic first week, making memories and embracing every opportunity that comes their way.

More updates to follow! ⚽️🇺🇸❤️

One parent travelled over 3.5 hours to get their child to Kellogg's Football Camp! When Sebastian's mum, Cat Hatley, found out that Kellogg's Football Camps were kicking off in Grimsby she seized the opportunity.

“Every year, we visit the area for a trip to the seaside and to buy the new kit, but this time was extra special. He got to play in the Grimsby Town kit while being coached by coaches. He really felt like he was part of the Club for a day and came out with a massive smile on his face.”

As a parent, Cat was a bit worried. “Not being from the area, I was a little worried that he might feel left out if the other kids all knew each other,” she added. “But as I waited to pick him up, I saw his new friends hugging him to say goodbye. It turned out Seb had scored the winning goal.”

Impressed by their long journey, the Club offered Sebastian the chance to go pitch side at the stadium. Mum concluded: “I was so delighted that Seb got to follow his heart, making new friends, and enjoying football like never before. We'll definitely be back next year.”

⚽️Wishing (L-R) Harry, Abi, Betty & Lily the most amazing time and experience as they fly off to America today to work for Challenger Sports over the next 3 months! 🇺🇸✈️

Our University of South Wales students will be based across Colorado, Denver and South Carolina, whilst also exploring many other areas of the United States as they travel each week and stay with different host families along the way.

They will be coaching throughout the summer on Challenger Sports football camps across North America & Canada, with some of them directing and being in charge of the camps, after completing trial days in Manchester and Warwick.
