At last - a positive update for Gulf travellers ✈️

The news we have been waiting for .... the UK Foreign Office has now relaxed its travel guidance for the UAE and Qatar following the recent peace agreement between the US and Iran.

We understand some travellers had concerns over the last few weeks, so it’s reassuring to see things moving in the right direction. Emirates flights are now back to pre-war levels and both the UAE and Qatar are fully open for transit.

The Gulf continues to be a much-loved destination — from Dubai’s incredible city experiences to Qatar’s culture, coastline and hospitality.

We’re hopeful this brings renewed confidence for travellers and a return to normality for the region.🌏❤🌏

Our opening times will be:

Friday 22 May – Open 9:00am–5:00pm
Saturday 23 May – Open 10:00am–4:00pm
Sunday 24 May – Closed as usual
Monday 25 May – Closed for the Bank Holiday
Tuesday 26 May – Open 9:00am–5:00pm

Part of me is definitely still in Bali but I am back! 🌊

Last week, I was hosted by the amazing Pure Luxury team & Destination Asia to experience the different areas of Bali 🏝️

We explored Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud & Nusa Dua and visited some lovely properties including Samaya, COMO & Oberoi! 🤩

Ubud was my favourite… the views were amazing and there is soo much to do from there! 🌳

A few fun facts…

🏰 1. It’s nicknamed the “Pearl of the Adriatic”
The poet Lord Byron gave Dubrovnik this nickname because of its stunning coastal setting along the Adriatic Sea.

🎬 2. It’s a real-life King’s Landing
Dubrovnik became globally famous as a filming location for Game of Thrones. Many iconic scenes of King’s Landing were shot in the Old Town.

🧱 3. Its walls are incredibly well preserved
The city walls of Dubrovnik stretch about 2 km (1.2 miles) and date back to the 13th century—still almost fully intact today.

🕊️ 4. It abolished slavery early
The Republic of Ragusa (what Dubrovnik used to be called) banned slave trading in 1416—way ahead of many other parts of Europe.

🚫 5. No cars in the Old Town
The historic center is completely pedestrian-only, which helps preserve its medieval charm.

🌊 6. It survived a major earthquake
In 1667, a devastating earthquake destroyed much of the city—but Dubrovnik rebuilt itself in the Baroque style you see today.

🏝️ 7. It’s surrounded by beautiful islands
Just offshore are gems like Lokrum and the Elaphiti Islands, perfect for day trips.

📜 8. One of the oldest pharmacies in Europe
The Franciscan Monastery in Dubrovnik houses a pharmacy that’s been operating since 1317—one of the oldest still running in the world.

⚔️ 9. It was a powerful independent republic
For centuries, Dubrovnik (as Ragusa) rivaled Venice in maritime trade and diplomacy.

☀️ 10. It gets lots of sunshine
Dubrovnik enjoys around 2,500+ hours of sunshine per year—making it a top Mediterranean destination.
