The Ribble Valley has mystical legends and Simon Entwistle, dressed in his authentic Victorian costume, will be delighted to recount some of his favou

rites as he accompanies you on his guided walks exploring the haunted ginnels, cobbled streets and burial grounds in Clitheroe, Whalley, Blackburn, Accrington, Colne, Skipton, York and Kendal. He also carries out guided heritage coach tours for groups for all the above towns and cities. In addition to this, he also provides tours in the Pendle Witch country and tours of the Ribble Valley. These originate from Oswaldtwistle Mills, Botany Bay, Chorley and Boundary Mills, Colne. Simon attends many private parties and functions for his ghostly story telling. He has made numerous television appearances doing what he does best, and that is, story telling with a passion. He is a regular guest at the Stirk House Hotel, nr Clitheroe, presenting on a variety of subjects, such as the Pendle Witches, British Heroes, British Villains, Jack the Ripper, The Battle of Arnhem plus many other Great British ghost stories.

A Festive Evening of Food & Storytelling at The Black Bull, Thurs 18th December
Due to popular demand, we’re delighted to welcome award-winning storyteller Simon Entwistle back to The Black Bull for a magical Christmas evening of food, warmth and timeless storytelling.

This month, Simon will bring to life Charles Dickens’ beloved A Christmas Carol, the classic tale that reminds us of kindness, compassion and the true spirit of Christmas. Expect wonderful storytelling, heartfelt moments and a journey through Christmases long past, present and yet to come… all shared in the cosy glow of our festive inn.

Evening Schedule
6:30pm – Arrival + welcome mulled wine
7:00pm – Sit down for a 3-course festive meal
Between courses – Simon Entwistle performs A Christmas Carol and other seasonal tales
