We can’t believe our Prizegiving event was a whole month ago!
It was a truly memorable occasion, celebrating the hard work, creativity, and dedication of everyone involved in our current Craft open 2026 exhibition. The Highlight of the occasion was of course the prizegiving presentation with gallery Supervisor Claire and Mayor Simon O’Rourke.
The Ribble Valley Artist Prize was given to Emma Clarke, for her textile and ceramic vessels. The Selectors prize was awarded to ceramicist Connor Townley for exploration of Ceramic techniques, and The Newcomer of the year was given to metalwork focused artist Pauline Bates.
The event was very well attended, and we want to offer a sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to making it such a success. It was a fitting celebration for another remarkable year of exhibitors, and a wonderful opportunity to highlight and give space to the passion and creativity that make our Craft community so special.
The people's prize is still to be decided, so be sure to fill in a slip and cast a vote for your favorite when you visit!
The event was photographed by local photographer James Tabbinor and Craft Open 2026 is on display at platform Gallery, Station Rd, Clitheroe until June 20th.
