A Month of Adventures Awaits

Before we look ahead to another exciting month, we'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contacted us, booked with us, recommended us, or followed our journey this year. The support we've received has been fantastic, and we're so grateful to be helping so many of you plan your dream holidays. Thank you for choosing The Travel Professionals – we truly appreciate every enquiry, every booking and every recommendation.

June is shaping up to be our busiest month of departures so far this year, and we couldn't be more excited to see our clients heading off on some incredible adventures. From the vibrant streets of Madrid to the stunning beaches of Zanzibar, the wildlife of South Africa, the crystal-clear waters of the Maldives, and several fantastic cruises, our customers will be making memories all around the world. ✈️

🌊 Roz is returning to one of her favourite spots in Devon for some well-deserved relaxation.

🍋 At the end of the month, Telina will be celebrating the end of GCSEs with a family trip to the beautiful Amalfi Coast.

🎉 June is also a special month as Telina celebrates 9 years with The Travel Professionals. Thank you for your dedication, passion, and all the wonderful holidays you've helped create over the years!

Looking back, May was another busy and exciting month. We attended fantastic industry events with If Only, helping us stay up to date with the latest travel news and opportunities for our clients.

As you can see from this video, Telins is completing the final days of training before the big event on Wednesday. We’re nearly there, and I’m so proud of the hard work and dedication that has gone into preparing for this challenge.

We help families get time away together, often for the first time ever.

We're here for children living near the coast, who've never seen the sea. For teenagers who can't remember when they last saw their mum smile. For parents having to choose between a day out and a new pair of school shoes. For young carers and families facing illness, isolation, or bereavement.

Holidays open up new possibilities. There's time to reconnect, to try new things, and to make happy memories together. Time for running, playing, climbing trees, and flying kites, time for picnics and bare feet. There's time enough to share a laugh and watch the tide come in - for buckets and spades and sandy sandwiches.

After over 12 months of falling apart, it's brought us closer together again.

Cairo & Beyond – Telina’s Egyptian Escape

There are some destinations that stay with you long after you return home — and Cairo was certainly one of them.

I recently spent four unforgettable nights in Egypt travelling with friends, and from the moment we arrived, we were completely captivated by the energy, history, and warmth of this incredible country.

For our stay, we chose the beautiful St. Regis in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital. While it was around a 40-minute drive into central Cairo, we intentionally decided not to stay directly in the city centre. Instead, we wanted somewhere peaceful and relaxing to retreat to after busy sightseeing days — and the hotel was absolutely perfect for that.

The St. Regis offered everything we could have hoped for: a fabulous spa, stunning gardens, incredible facilities, and exceptional service throughout our stay. The hotel itself felt like a destination in its own right, with a fantastic gym, tennis courts, cinema room, games room, and one of the best breakfast selections we’ve experienced anywhere.

The New Capital itself feels completely different from Cairo — modern, spacious, and rapidly developing, with many impressive new hotels and buildings under construction. It was fascinating to experience both sides of Egypt: the ultra-modern new developments alongside the timeless history of ancient Cairo.

One of the highlights of the trip was an evening Nile River cruise with dinner. Cruising along the Nile at sunset while watching Cairo light up around us was such a special experience and one I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Egypt.

Of course, no trip to Cairo would be complete without visiting the iconic Pyramids of Giza — truly one of those rare moments where reality exceeds expectations. Seeing one of the Ancient Wonders of the World in person is something that’s difficult to put into words.

We also visited Saqqara, Memphis, and Dahshur on a fascinating day tour, which gave us an even deeper appreciation of Egypt’s extraordinary history and archaeology. Each site had its own story and atmosphere, and having a knowledgeable guide made such a difference throughout the trip.

In fact, one of my biggest recommendations for anyone travelling around Cairo is to book with a guide. Not only do they bring the history and culture to life through their storytelling and expertise, but they also provide reassurance and peace of mind when navigating such a busy and vibrant city.

We also explored local markets, soaked up the atmosphere, sampled delicious food, and genuinely loved every moment in Cairo.

Sadly, we ran out of time to fully explore the new Grand Egyptian Museum — but even from what we saw, it was absolutely incredible. I would strongly recommend allowing at least 4–5 hours there, as it’s truly world-class and deserves plenty of time to enjoy properly.

This trip has only made us want to return to Egypt and explore even more of this remarkable country — from Luxor and Abu Simbel to the treasures further south along the Nile.

If seeing one of the world’s ancient wonders is on your travel wish list, Egypt absolutely deserves a place at the top.

🚴‍♀️ We’re proud to share that Telina Lawrence will be joining a team of 50 cyclists taking on a 50km ride through the beautiful New Forest on 3 June as part of the CLIA 10th Anniversary Charity Bike Ride. 🌳💚

The challenge is raising funds for the Family Holiday Charity, an amazing organisation dedicated to helping families facing difficult circumstances enjoy a much-needed holiday and create precious memories together.

Together, the riders are aiming to raise an incredible £10,000 — enough to help up to 14 families take a special break away.
