🌿✨ Madeira – a destination that truly captures the heart! ✨🌿

PART ONE

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing this incredible island on a fam trip, staying at the beautiful The Views Baía

The hotel offered large, spacious rooms with stunning views, whether overlooking the sparkling Atlantic Ocean or the dramatic mountains that provide Madeira's spectacular backdrop. Every evening was a culinary delight, with exceptional dining that showcased the island's flavours. One memorable four-course menu included a creamy asparagus velouté, sea bass with tapenade and roasted bell peppers, veal with potato mille-feuille and sautéed shimeji mushrooms, followed by a refreshing lemon and lavender trilogy. Paired with Madeira's outstanding local wines, it was a dining experience to remember.

Madeira is an island made for exploration. Whether you prefer discovering its beauty on foot, pulling on your hiking boots for a levada walk, or exploring by car, there are endless opportunities to soak up the breathtaking scenery.

One of the highlights of our trip was a catamaran cruise along the coast. From the water, the towering cliffs looked even more impressive, rising dramatically from the Atlantic. Along the way, we were lucky enough to spot dolphins and Bryde's whales in their natural habitat. And for the adventurous among us, there was even the chance to take a refreshing dip in the Atlantic Ocean!

Azure Collection Training Event

Last night I attended an excellent training event hosted by Azure, where we were introduced to industry partners from JOALI Maldives Sea Cloud Cruises ⛵ Danai Beach Resort & Villas Van Isacker Exclusive and gained valuable insight into these beautiful hotels and destinations. Anna's focus was on their Far East programme and New Destination- Japan 🏯

The evening provided a fantastic insight into several distinctive luxury travel brands, each offering highly personalised experiences for our clients. The focus on authentic experiences, exceptional service and unique destination knowledge reinforced the value these partners bring to the luxury travel market.

Once the training concluded, we took part in a fun and light-hearted culinary competition, creating our own Pad Thai dishes in a professional kitchen🔪 . I teamed up with Vicky from Sea Cloud Cruises, and together we worked brilliantly as a team to produce a delicious meal. Following the first round, four runners-up were selected to take part in a final challenge focused on plating and presenting a dessert. I was delighted to be chosen for the final and even more pleased to finish in third place overall. It was a fantastic way to end an informative and enjoyable evening, adding a touch of friendly competition and plenty of laughter to the event.

What a fantastic trip to Madeira hosted by our amazing partners at Galaxi ✨💫

Madeira has so much to offer. In the past 4 days we have seen dolphins 🐬and Brydes whales off the coast line and took in the dramatic cliffs from our catameran.

We have traversed across the stunning landscape in 4x4 convoy to experience the amazing micro climate that is so unique to Madeira.

Cable cars from the waterfront take you 1,850ft above sea level to see breath taking views over Funchal. And of course what goes up must come down - in a TOBOGGAN!

We celebrated the beginning of the Summer season with a 20 minute firework display known as Festival Do Atlantico.
We enjoyed local markets, cobbled streets, Marina cafes and more.
The weather has been perfect and the food and wine exceptional 🍷
