Hello everyone,
This is James, Dave’s son, writing this message on behalf of my family.
It’s with deep sadness and the heaviest of hearts to share that my father passed away two weeks ago.
He was a much-loved and devoted father, grandfather, husband, son, brother and friend, and he meant different things to different people. But to all of us who knew him, he was someone who left a mark through his presence, his stories, and the relationships he built over a lifetime.
We know many of you will be shocked and saddened by this news, and we’re grateful for the kindness, support, and memories that have already been shared with us.
As a family, we’re taking things one step at a time. In time, we’ll share details regarding the funeral arrangements for those who would like to pay their respects.
I’m also aware that my dad was in the process of organising upcoming theatre trips. To honour him, my family and I are doing everything we can to ensure these go ahead as planned. If you’re booked onto a trip and haven’t already been in contact with me, please send me a private message (my name/account can be found at the top of this post) so I can speak to you directly.
Thank you for remembering my dad, and for being part of his incredible life in whatever way that looked like to you. My dad was a very special man 🤍
