Who else has looked out from the beautiful Whitestone viewpoint in the Wye Valley?

Found high on the wooded hillsides above the village of Llandogo, it's about a 20-30 minute walk from the Whitestone car park and picnic site. The route is mostly level, and part of the 'Wonders of Whitestone' 1.5 mile loop including three great viewpoints.

In this photo we're looking north-eas, with the River Wye curving around and continuing up to the left of the image (with Bigsweir Bridge hidden behind the trees). Wales is on the left, with England on the right and in the background, looking towards the edges of St. Briavels and Clearwell in the Forest of Dean.

It's a lovely place to walk, with lots of shade from the sun and a great natural play-park at the picnic site.
