With the addition of a well equipped kitchen and dining space to prepare those traditional breakfasts, array of packed lunches and hearty evening meals. It proudly possesses the ability to house twelve people within six double bedrooms over three floors. Your brood can also enjoy the indulgence of four sizeable bathrooms and toilets. Plus the added bonus of easy car parking access, at the rear of the house, which comfortably fits two large cars (three medium sized cars) for your party. All this amounts to a tailor-made holiday home for large groups and families, but no pets, so your four legged friends will have to give it a miss. Holmthwaite’s Coronavirus Statement for Guests
We understand and acknowledge that we are facing the unknown with the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) threat. However, being how blessed we are with our views, fresh air, space and the calmness that comes with village life – there is probably no better place to seek solace and feel safe than the Lake District. There is also no increased risk holidaying in Coniston, in self-catering accommodation than there is at home.
We, at , want to reassure everyone that we are continuing to welcome our guests and offer the very much needed relaxation and escapism we could all do with at times like these.
Our holiday home is thoroughly cleaned after guests leave – using officially recommended aseptic techniques. Our showers and taps are steam cleaned. Extra care is also being given to remote controls, fixtures, door and cooker k***s, light switches, handles and all surfaces. We are taking the virus very seriously and are dedicated to continuing and maintaining this robust cleaning and sanitising regime.
Enjoying your stay with us is important. Your Cumbrian experience is our passion, but most of all, the health and safety of you and your family is paramount.

If you fancy spreading your wings a touch further this Easter, Whinlatter Wildplay Trail, is fantastic for kids in this age group and a little older. A 600m long trail, consisting of nine unique play zones of climbing, swinging, balancing, slides at various heights and a fabulous fairy kingdom full of secret paths. You could spend the best part of the day here, with picnics, coffee stops, playground fun and lowland walks. Set them free, within this wild adventure, to hop, skip and jump though this wonderfully whimsical woodland.
